Today in history: Ghana appoints Avram Grant as new Black Stars coach
Ghana coach Avram Grant was appointed a exactly two-years ago today. The former Chelsea manager signed a 27 months contract to manage the Ghana national team. He replaced Kwesi Appiahwho led the Black Stars at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil but was fired in September 2014. GFA president Kwesi Nyantekyie told BBC Sport: "It would be unfair to ask a coach appointed only one month before a tournament to win the trophy.
