Tarkwa (W/R), Dec. 26, GNA - A twenty-year-old mason has been granted GH¢10,000.00 bail with a surety to be justified by the Tarkwa Circuit Court for allegedly stealing a Haojin tricycle costing GH¢7,600.00.
Kofi Amos, denied the charge of stealing and the court presided over by Mr Emmanuel Bart-Plange Brew adjourned the case to January 17, 2020.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Faustina Celestina Anaman, told the court that the complainant Isaac Tetteh is an electrician and resides at Wassa Akropong in the Amenfi Central District with the accused person.
She narrated that on August 4, this year, the complainant parked his unregistered tricycle in his house and retired to bed.
The prosecutor said the complainant woke up the next morning only to realize his tricycle had been stolen and therefore went to the Wassa Akropong Police Station to lodge an official complaint.
Upon receiving the report, the police sent signals to all police barriers within the jurisdiction of the Wassa Akropong Police Command to be on the lookout for the said tricycle, the Prosecution told the court.
On August 5, Chief Inspector Anaman said with the assistance of the Diaso police, accused was accosted with the complainant’s tricycle and he was handed over to the police in Wassa Akropong together with the exhibit.
Prosecution said during investigation accused admitted the offense and was arraigned before the court.
