Dec. 23, GNA – The Kumasi South Hospital has received a number of hospital equipment and consumables to assist in patients care and improve healthcare delivery at the facility.
The items worth GH?15,000.00 included weight and height scales, baby scales, pulse oximeter, blood pressure monitors, wall clocks and sharp bins.
These were gift from De-Kays Apex Pharmacy Limited, a pharmacy service provider located in Kumasi.
Ms. Victoria Opoku, the Deputy Director of Nursing Services (DDNS), receiving the gifts on behalf of the hospital’s management, said the items had come in at an appropriate time since they needed them to supplement operations at the various departments.
She said the items would be helpful in measuring blood pressure of patients, monitor the oxygen saturation of patients’ blood as well as monitoring weights of infants.
Mrs. Akosua Kwaky-Minta, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), De-Kays Apex Pharmacy Limited, said it was part of the Company’s corporate social responsibility to assist health facilities to improve healthcare delivery.
She pledged the Company’s continuous support to hospitals to become a preferred choice for people in the community and beyond.
