Kumasi, Dec. 05, GNA – The Deeper Christian Life Ministry has affirmed its resolve to continue to intensify efforts to get its pastors holistically trained to better equip them for the ministration of unadulterated gospel to transform the sinning world.
Pastor E.K Duodu, the National Overseer of the Ministry Ghana, said, “There was so much error peddled by so-called pastors who aim to satisfy their bellies and courts cheap popularity as well as public acclaim without sound doctrine”.
“It is sad that holiness, salvation and sound teachings of Christ have been relegated to the back burner, while emphasis is on material things of world, worldliness and all allurements, occultism and a race to show who is more powerful, work miracles, and who has the largest congregation”, Pastor Duodu said.
This was at the 2nd joint graduation ceremony of the Deeper Life International Bible Training College (DL-IBTC) at Brofoyedu, near Kumasi.
He said the church would remain focused on preaching the undiluted word of God and would not be deterred by criticisms of being of the old order.
“We cherish the old order and will continue on that tangent, God helping us”, he told the 211 graduating students who were from the 2016-2019 batches.
Pastor Duodu said the Bible training college had come to stay and would continue to rise to the task of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the dying world and also neutralize the poison churned by false teachers and charlatans of all sorts.
Professor Fatokun Johnson Oladele, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Anchor University in Lagos, Nigeria, said the University would continue to offer mentorship to the Bible training college, which is an affiliate of the University.
He said the vision of the Anchor University Lagos was to be the citadel of learning for holistic human transformation and development anchored on the tripartite wheels of Character, Competency and Courage.
The Rector of the college, Pastor James Owusu Boateng, said the College, which currently offers programmes at the certificate level, would soon offer diploma in theology programmes to train more teachers for the work of God.
