Accra, July 20, GNA – Integrity Magazine, would be hosting Business Breakfast Meeting with the insurance industry actors to bolster social and business networking among insurers and their prospective clients in Accra.
The event slated for August 9, 2019 would be on the theme; “Maintaining the Fiduciary Relationship between the Insured public and their Insurers”.
Stakeholders within the industry would use the platform to share ideas on how best the trust and quality relationship between insurers and their clients could be built and maintained.
Speaking at the press conference in Accra on Thursday, the Reverend Kennedy Okosun, the Editor-In Chief of the Magazine, said insurance industry plays an important role in the economy, the business is a well-developed even though the penetration is low, and it continued to generate profit.
He said the business breakfast meeting is a maiden step to create a platform that would enable the insured public and insurers to have a discourse on maintaining the fiduciary relationship between the insured public and their insurers.
“We will be listening to seasoned insurers from the industry, the insurance policy makers and the body responsible for the individuals in the in industry, how ethical they are and if they are playing by the book,” Rev Okosun said.
The Editor-in Chief said it was the view of the Integrity Magazine that, the insurance industry could wield more money than the banks if the public understood properly and applied effectively the service of the insurers.
Rev Okosun urged the public to pay attention to insurance because we are at the mercy of natural disasters and accidents.
“Everyone should have interest in the insurance and it shouldn’t be left only to those perceived to be wealthy or have means, we are all at risk because we are at the mercy of natural disasters and accidents,” he said.
The main speakers of the event would include; Mr Asante Ahenkora-Marfo, the President of the Chartered Insurance Institute Ghana, Mr Kwame Acheampong-Kyei, Chairman of Glico Group, Mr Justice Yaw Ofori, the Commissioner of National Insurance Commission and others.
