Accra, March 15, GNA - Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalisation Committee (NC) has announced a new management committee for the senior national team, the Black Stars, ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Former Board Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Desmond Kofi Koduah Sarpong would head the five-member management team and would be Deputy Youth an Sports Minister, Perry Okudzeto.
Other members of the five-member committee include, former Ghanaian footballer, Ibrahim Sunday, Mr. Francis Asenso-Boakye and Madam Abena Osei Asare.
According to press statement signed by spokesperson of the GFA NC, Dan Kwaku Yeboah, the augmentation of the management
falls in line with the successful participation of the Black Stars in this year's tournament to be held in Egypt.
"This forms part of the N.C’s grand agenda to ensure Ghana’s successful participation at the tournament scheduled for later this year," the statement said.
The GFA NC is expected to receive an extension of their mandate by football governing body, FIFA, in the next coming weeks.
