Accra, Feb. 6, GNA - The International Council for Gospel Churches has held an enthronement service to install two new archbishops to help promote the work of the gospel and the growth of the body of Christ.
Right Reverend Dr Kwabena Amonoo-Niezer and His Eminence Right Reverend Professor Richard Lartey Lawson were consecrated to the high office of Archbishop.
Archbishop Amonoo-Niezer is the General Overseer of Dominion Fire Chapel International and the President of Kwabena Amonoo-Niezer Ministries whose vison is to assist in the liberation of the African Continent through the word of God.
He is the Prelate of the Dominion College of Bishops, which is the first Charismatic College of Bishops in the country.
Archbishop Amonoo-Niezer is a teacher, preacher of the Word of God and a revivalist who has preached in America and London.
He was duly elected popular acclamation by the Dominion College of Bishops and the Advisory College of Bishops of the Dominion and also by recommendations of Dominion Fire Chapel International to the office of an Archbishop on May 11, 2016.
Archbishop Lawson, who was a member of the Ghana Police from 2004 to 2017, has thought in several established American institutions, industries and organisations.
As a pastor, Archbishop Lawson leads a 300-member congregation and has led the preparation of documentation of Christian’s strategies in classified areas.
Enthroning the two Archbishops, Most Rev Dr Justice Yaw Akrofi, a former Archbishop of the Church of the Province of West Africa, urged the clergy not to relent in their efforts to train more people to propagate the gospel.
He urged them to see the new mantle as a means to expand their horizon to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth.
