DOHA, Jan. 17 (Xinhua/GNA) - Qatar's Ministry of Defense on Thursday offered military aid to Somalia in support of security and stability in the country.
In a statement, the ministry said "68 up-to-date military vehicles were dispatched in joint efforts by the Qatari Armed Forces".
"The aid will help Somalia's effort to establish peace and stability and fight terrorism," the statement added.
Qatar also offered financial aid to Somalia which suffered famine.
Earlier, Qatar's Air Forces dispatched 24 armoured vehicles aboard three aircraft to Mali in December last year.
