Hohoe, Dec. 10, GNA - Togbega Gabusu VI, Paramount Chief of Gbi Traditional State in the Hohoe Municipality, has said he expected to see "positive action" on the Eastern Corridor road next year.
He said "positive action" on the stretch would end discomfort suffered by users and open up the area for rapid socioeconomic growth and prayed for steady progress of work on the Corridor.
Togbega Gabusu said this in a speech read on his behalf at a durbar to climax this year's Gbidukoza at Hohoe, in the Volta Region.
"There is no shame in seeking our fair share of the national development cake and if we are not given our fair share, we should not be ashamed to cry from the rooftops," he said.
Togbega Gabusu commended the festival planning committee for sustaining the celebration and asked that it continued to serve as a unifier of the people.
Togbe Keh XII, Chief of Gbi-Wegbe said the festival drove the development of the local economy, helping in the establishment of a rural bank, and also an arts and craft village.
