Accra, Dec. 9, GNA - President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Sunday left Ghana to Japan for a three-day official visit at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe.
The visit is to deepen the strong relations between the two countries as well as explore areas of further co-operation to their mutual benefit.
Whilst in Japan, President Akufo-Addo would call on the Emperor of Japan, His Majesty Akihito, hold meetings with chief executive officers of some important Japanese companies, attend a joint Ghana Investment Promotion Centre/Japan External Trade Organisation business seminar, and meet with members of the Ghanaian Community resident in Japan.
He was accompanied by the Foreign Affairs Minister, Madam Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, the Deputy Finance Minister, Mr Charles Adu Boahen; and some officials from the Presidency and Foreign Ministry.
The President would return to Ghana on Friday, December 14, 2018.
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia would act in his stead.
