Accra, Nov.13, GNA - Universal Hospitals Group Limited, a Ghanaian Turn-Key Healthcare Company, on Tuesday donated medical equipment to the Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital in Accra to enhance child healthcare delivery.
The equipment included two units of Crush Card, Infusion Trolley, Infusion pump, three wheel chairs, three units of beds, a Storage Rack, 35 boxes of syringes and seven loose needles.
The rest are four tables, three pieces of screen, three boxes of OPD Folder Files, seven children’s plastic chairs and 90 boxes of U-Daylin Syrup.
Mrs Joyce S. Oduro, the Managing Director of the Group, who made the donation on behalf of the Company, said the gesture would go a long way to give care to children who visited the Hospital.
She said the donation also formed part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility to commemorate its 30th Anniversary celebration.
Mrs Oduro said they would extend the gesture to all the 10 regions to ensure that CHPS compounds, health centres, polyclinics and clinics that needed help were supported to improve health delivery.
Mr Ron Agyeman, the Senior Accountant, noted that they were working in hand with government to see how to improve the health delivery system of the country.
Dr Maame Yaa Nyarko, the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, on behalf of management, staff and children who patronised the services of the Hospital, expressed gratitude to the Group for the gesture.
“Wheel chairs are one of the things the Hospital needs most and so we are grateful for the support,” she said.
