Seduase (GAR), Oct. 22, GNA - Dr Mohammed Buhari, Executive Director of SouthEastern Montessori Academy, has called on parents to pay attention to the upbringing of their children.
He said although parents had a lot of responsibilities that took them away from their core responsibility of raising their children, they should not renege on their parental duties.
Dr Buhari made the call at the 12th Speech and Prize-Giving Day of SouthEastern Montessori Academy at Seduase, near Oyibi in the Kpone Katamanso Municipal Assembly of the Greater Accra Region.
It was on the theme ‘Challenges Facing Educators in Nurturing Tomorrow’s Leaders’.
Dr Buhari said in recent times, children were bombarded with a lot of curricula activities, making them tired after school and unable to reflect on any other thing.
“This children usually miss the value of family life and friendship do not appreciate nature, or fun lack basic home chores training and arr elating well with society’ he said.
Dr Buhari urged the students to desist from all forms of negative tendencies that may ruin their future aspirations.
Mr Daniel Sorkpor. Headmaster of the said the school had acquired a 10 modern day technology device that would allow multiple users to access information from one server.
This, he said had paved way for virtual library that allow pupils to access information with just a click.
Mr Sorkpor said the school would continue to provide every child with a holistic education devoid of discrimination against social class, religion and race , adding that the vision was to be rated as one of the best in provision of quality education in Ghana and beyond.
Pupils who excelled over the year, were given awards.
