Accra, Oct. 9, GNA - Ms Taaka Awori, Managing Director- Busara Africa, has called on Human Resource (HR) practitioners to constantly engage their staff and encourage employee feedback to help grow their organisations and improve the employee experience.
The employee is the basic unit of the company and their state foretells the state of the company, she said.
She said it is important for HR practitioners to receive the right coaching to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
Ms Awori was speaking at the HR Focus Conference 2018 held under the theme: Enhancing the employee experience.
Dr Ellen Hagan, Chief Executive Officer of L’AINE Services, congratulated participants for taking time off to be part of a capacity building programme.
She said it is important for leaders to constantly appraise themselves to become better at what they do, hence the need to meet yearly to discuss the world of work.
Revina Acheampong, Editor-In-Chief of HR Focus Magazine, organisers of the event, in an interview, said the HR Focus Magazine has a broader vision of creating an all-inclusive community where there is shared experience and learning.
We believe that this Executive HR Network can change the face of people management in Ghana and we encourage members to properly utilize the tools and resources that would be made available to them, she said.
The conference was climaxed with the unveiling of ‘The Executive HR Network’ - an exclusive platform that creates an avenue for shared learning in the nation’s HR arena.
The pioneering members of the Executive HR Network consists of HR change makers and the 40 honourees on HR Focus listing of Top 40 HR Practitioners doing ‘Big Things’ in 2018.
The Executive HR Network is poised to pursue a project of innovation and change to impact the world of work in Ghana and contribute positively to the state of HR practice.
