Accra, Oct. 8, GNA - Mr Joshua Kyeremeh, National Security Co-ordinator, has called on people in leadership positions to pray to God for directions and also seek the interest of people above theirs.
He said it was pertinent for every leader to render devoted, selfless and dedicated services towards the well-being of people under their care and that this could be achieved only through God’s directions.
Mr Kyeremeh made the call at the Eighth Anniversary celebration of the Cedar Mountain Chapel of the Assemblies of God Church at East Legon in Accra on Sunday.
It was on the theme ‘’Favoured to Possess the Land’’.
Mr Kyeremeh also urged Ghanaians to pray for peace and stability of the nation.
He commended the leadership of the church for transforming the lives of many people over the years.
The National Security Co-ordinator expressed the hope that the church would work harder than before to win more souls for Christ.
The Reverend Boniface Keelson, Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Assembly of God of God, Toronto, Canada urged them not to rest but to continue evangelising since many people are counting on the church to succeed.
Rev. Stephen Wengam, Head Pastor of the church said the church had acquired 15 plots of land at East Legon, to construct the Cedar City and that work would begin by the first quarter of 2019.
He said another achievement worth mentioning was the educational scholarship the church has rolled out to needy individuals at the secondary and tertiary level.
Rev. Wengam said the vision of the church was to become a cutting edge 21st Century and a New Testament model church excelling in worship, raising leaders and disciples as well as providing leadership in all things.
