Accra, Aug. 20, GNA - Jesse Manyo Plange (17-0, 15 Ko's), has vowed to bring honour to Ghana, when he mounts the ring to fight current International Boxing Organisation (IBO) World Bantamweight, Michael Dasmarinas from Philippines, in Indonesia.
The bout slated for September 29, would provide the platform to relaunch his career considering his exploits for Ghana at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijeng and the Commonwealth Games in Delhi back in 2010.
In an interview with the GNA Sports, the former member of the national amateur boxing team, the Black Bombers, was optimistic, his opponent would be retired early in the fights as he seeks to win a world title in the near future.
"Myself and my team are working very hard for the much needed victory come September. Many people think am out of boxing, but I am still an active boxer.
"My opponent is a champion in the weight category, but I am hopeful of bringing victory to Ghana. In the long run I have sets sight on winning a World title in the near future a
and I urge my fans to support me, because it's a defining moment in my career," Plange told GNA Sports.
Plange in his last bout back in June defeated Billy Quaye, with a third round known down as he still remains undefeated in his profesional career.
