Accra, Aug. 7, GNA - Mr. Steve Kyeremeh Atuahene has been appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to act as the Acting Director General of the Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC).
Mr. Atuahene, assumed office on July 3, 2018 and replaces Ambassador Dr. Mokowa Adu-Gyamfi, who has been reassigned as Presidential Advisor for HIV/AIDS.
The announcement was contained in a letter issued to the Ghana News Agency and signed by Anthony Appiah-Nti Obeng, Director of Administration of the Commission.
Before his appointment, Mr. Kyeremeh Atuahene was Director for Research, Monitoring and Evaluation of the GAC.
The statement appealed to all stakeholders to cooperate and accord the Acting Director the necessary courtesies to ensure a successful tenure.
