Wa, Feb. 26, GNA – Mr Ishmael Prince Dimah, aspiring Upper West Regional Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said that it is time for the party to unite in order to capture the Wa Central seat.
The Wa Central seat has been for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) since its creation, but the aspiring candidate said the incumbent Mr Hassan Rashid Pelpou can be defeated.
Mr Dimah, a Nutrition Officer, in an interview with Ghana News Agency appealed to NPP members in the constituency to be united and committed in order to win the seat in the 2020 elections.
“Like I told you before, my target in this campaign is to increase our seats in Upper West Region to eight and I can bet you that we will take over Wa Central seat if you give me the nod”, he said.
On the NPP constituency elections, Mr Dimah said democracy is growing within the party as this year’s elections are characterized with calm and civility.
“Wa central is anticipated to be one of the “confusion and critical” zones, but it came up very successful”, he said.
Mr Dimah said NPP has won and every winner and loser should consider themselves as winners because it is for the common purpose of maintaining NPP in power that they all went into the elections.
“My appeal to all NPP party faithful is that we should put away divisions, backbiting and remain committed to help the party fulfil its promises”, he said.
