Accra, Feb. 12, GNA - The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) has held its 8th matriculation ceremony for the 2018/2019 academic students in Master of Science in Defence and International Politics.
Rear Admiral Seth Amoama, the Commandant of GAFCSC, said the College was established to train selected officers of the Ghana Armed Forces, other security services as well as qualified civilians and officers of other African countries for middle level policy command staff leadership functions.
He said, the College had collaborated with the University of Ghana, Legon, through its Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy and the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) to deliver Masters programme in International Relations in Governance and Leadership respectively.
The Commandant said the institution aimed at providing high level engagements within national and international environments.
He encouraged the students to be diligent and acquire knowledge to enable them to contribute towards national development.
He urged the students to develop a self-sacrificing attitude in the pursuit of their academic studies and future development.
Dr Vladimir Antwi-Danso, Director of Academic Affairs of the College said their outfit was well prepared to offer students with the needed support to succeed.
He encouraged the students to make the best of the period they spend at the College and be time conscious and avoid practices that would affect their studies.
Dr Antwi-Danso challenged the students to break any limitations on their way and strife to uphold the great name of the institution.
