Winneba (C/R) March 15, GNA - A Winneba Magistrate Court has sentenced farmer aged about 25 years based in Winneba to 18 months imprisonment in hard labour for stealing three head pans and three shovels.
Amos Krampah pleaded guilty and the court sentenced him on his own plea.
Narrating the fact, the prosecution represented by Police Inspect Peter Agbelie told the court presided over by Mr. Isaac Oheneba Kufuor that, a Librarian at Winneba School of Business was the complainant in the case.
According to the Prosecution on 16th February 2017 at about 18.00 hours the accused entered a fenced house near Winneba School of Business and stole the head pans and shovels.
He said while Krampah was carrying the items away, the complaint and two others spotted him.
The prosecution said when the complainant and the two others confronted him, he confessed having stolen the said items.
They arrested him and handed him to the police at Winneba, where he led the police to the house he stole the items.
The prosecution said he was charged after investigations and arraigned before the court.
