The Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) on Tuesday completed the repair works on the Footbridge at Nogahill on the N1 Highway, near the Dzorwulu Junction, which was damaged by a vehicle.
It said works started on the footbridge at 01:00 hours on Tuesday, January 15 and completed within two hours at 03:00 hours.
The footbridge was hit by a vehicle on Thursday, January 10, 2019, resulting in the displacement of the deck by a few metres.
The contractor was tasked to mobilize and complete the repair works within three days but completed ahead of time.
Ms Diana Saede, the Public Relations Officer of the Authority told the Ghana News Agency that the major works involved the restoration of the deck to its original position and the fixing of the railings and tiles.
