Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, who is also the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, has assured Ghanaians of a stable power as soon as possible, as the Ministry of Energy is working around the clock to bring relief to Ghanaians.
Speaking during his first day of the Eastern Regional Tour, Dr Bawumia admitted that although some challenges still persist, the government is committed to turning around the fortunes of the economy.
Dr Bawumia, who is also rallying the support of Faith-Based Organisations, pledged to give incentives to enable them to do more for the country. He said the government recognises their contributions, especially in the educational sector, adding that his government when voted into power, will bring a whole new chapter that will strengthen the bond between government and faith-based organisations.
Dr Bawumia reiterated his commitment to maximise the benefits from the country’s natural resources to transform the economy. He bemoaned the fact that over the years, Ghana has not benefited from the numerous resources, stressing that there is the need for a paradigm shift.
