Voltic (GH) Limited has organised a day’s training on daily book keeping, small and medium enterprises (SME) insurance policies and pensions fund options available to the informal sector for 50 of its clients in the Accra District to climax its financial literacy month.
The 50 customers included wholesalers, distributors and retailers who have been marketing and distributing Voltic’s Natural Mineral water and Club range of soft sparkling drinks for years.
The programme, the first of its kind for its customers, was in line with Voltic Sustainability framework of refreshing and empowering Ghana while being responsive to customer needs.
Voltic Finance Month
The Country Finance Manager of Voltic, Rev. Daniel Torvinyo, who led the finance team to organise the programme, indicated that the customer financial experience was part of Voltic’s Finance Month celebrations purposely to educate employees and customers on the basics of personal finance and equip them with the relevant skills to make prudent financial decisions for themselves, their families and their businesses.
He stated that “understanding that there is financial implication for every action, Voltic is empowering the businesses that help place our brands in the hands of every consumer in Ghana to be financially conscious, contributing to the long-term sustainability of our business”.
“Our goal today would be achieved if these businesses go on to expand, sustain and cushion themselves for the future through some of these laudable insurance policies and pensions funds they have been exposed to today.”
Participant’s experience
The proprietress of Lesfam Company Limited, Madam Lesley Anita Adjei Mensah, said: “I feel valued as a business partner and I recommend that Voltic should organise similar programmes at least quarterly to help us manage our business as well as share some ideas as partners.”
Voltic has been producing and distributing water and soft drinks for the past 22 years, thereby becoming a household name in Ghana for refreshing consumers with quality drinking water through the hard work of its employees and the efforts of its customers.
The customer finance experience fulfils one of the organisation’s goals to win with its customers through programmes that impact the value chain.
