Ghanaian flutist, Dela Botri, has unveiled 2 albums ‘All in One’ and ‘Ghana Bi Your Own’ containing 32 songs which were recorded during the COVID-19 lockdown period.
Speaking to Ghana Weekend during the launch at the Goethe Institut in Accra, the ‘atentenben’ master, revealed that both albums were recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic when travel restrictions were in place, and he could not leave Ghana to play international shows.
With 16 tracks each, ‘Ghana Bi Your Own’ has a more traditional feel, while ‘All In One’ gives a contemporary ‘urban’ vibe.
According to Mr. Botri, the albums were recorded with a vast array of traditional Ghanaian instruments, reflecting aspects of his recent directions with his bamboo flute and his knowledge of world music.
