The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in the United Arab Emirates has urged Ghanaians to disregard reports suggesting that holders of Ghanaian passports can currently travel without visa to the United Arab Emirates.
The Embassy in a statement said “even though the agreement has been ratified by the Parliament of Ghana, the processes for its implementation have not been completed.”
This is in response to reports over the weekend on the ratification of a memorandum of understanding on Mutual Exemption of Entry Visa Requirements between Ghana and the United Arab Emirates.
The Embassy added that it will “officially communicate any changes to the current entry visa regime between Ghana and the United Arab Emirates when the agreement comes into force.”
