Three persons have died, with 20 others sustaining injuries, in a crash on the Tema Motorway.
The incident, involving a Sprinter bus, is said to have happened around 6:30am.
According to reports, the Aflao-bound bus somersaulted and fell into a ditch after its tyre burst around the weighing bridge area.
The 20 injured persons have been taken to the Tema General Hospital for treatment, while the three bodies have been conveyed to the mortuary.
The Tema Regional MTTD Commander, Chief Superintendent William Asante narrated the incident to Citi News.
“The driver had a flat tyre and the car somersaulted about three times before landing. We are still investigating and the speed at which he was travelling and others. So far three people have lost their lives and others have been admitted at the hospital.”
Data from Motor Transport and Traffic Department show that 771 people perished from road crashes in Ghana between January to March 2021.
