The flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Greenstreet says it will ensure fair pricing for Shea nut and other farm produce cultivated in the Northern Region when voted into office.
According to the flagbearer of the party, Ivor Greenstreet, even though the region has been producing large quantities of grain, the farmers get very little due to poor pricing.
Speaking during a rally in the Kumbungu constituency, Mr. Greenstreet stated that the CPP had a lot of policies in place to help the people in the North.
“You know what Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s party means to you, you know what we have for you. We have so many policies that we have specially devised for you especially what we are going to do concerning giving guaranteed prices for all the products that you produce. It was done for cocoa, and we are going to do the same thing for maize, cassava, shea nut cashew, and more.”
“We have much in our policies that we have developed for microfinance loans without interest rates with skills training for women. We have so many things we want to do in terms of bringing health facilities close to you. You already know what the CPP means in terms of education, and we believe that it is not only SHS that should be free, but it should be free from kindergarten to tertiary,'” he added.
