Information available to Citi News suggests that the assailant who killed the New Patriotic Party’s Takoradi Constituency Treasurer, Mark Ofori, earlier killed a security man in a house within the same Fijai vicinity.

The security man, Agya Agyabeng, whose remains have been conveyed to the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital mortuary is said to be a security man for an in-law to the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah.
Citi News understands that the assailant then moved to the house of the NPP Treasurer where he shot him twice but run out of bullets when he tried to shoot the brother of Ofori.
He however overpowered the late NPP Treasurer’s brother, Kwesi, and run away after hitting his head with wood but left his gun behind in the process which is currently in the possession of the police.
Mark Ofori was shot dead by an unknown assailant.
The incident happened on Wednesday in the house of the deceased at Fijai.
