Citi FM’s annual ‘Help A Christmas Child’ initiative for 2018 could not have been possible without the support of some of its benevolent listeners, who helped to put a smile on the faces of the children at Samsam Odumase near Amasman in the Greater Accra Region on Boxing Day.
The project, which is under the Citi FM Foundation, is part of the station’s corporate social responsibility to make children in deprived communities have a feel of the yuletide.
For several years, the station has put smiles on the faces of residents of deprived communities in the country with a particular focus on children. This year’s ‘Help A Christmas Child’, was made possible through donations from Voltic Ghana Limited with bags and cartons of water, club minerals and milk. The Coca- Cola Bottling Company Limited offered cartons of coca cola products, Fan Milk Limited made available bags of yogurt, whereas Inter-City STC Coaches provided free transportation for staff and volunteers.
The National Drama Company entertained the children with a sketch, Ramani Distribution also presented assorted products, Freight Consult Limited provided a truck to transport donated items to SamSam Odumase, while Staff of Exim Bank Limited, donated cash and assorted items.
Wilmar Ghana Limited also gave bags of rice and cartons of oil.
Several other listeners came in as individuals to support to this year’s event.
Citi FM and the children of Samsam Odumase are grateful.
