The Congregation, which is the ninth graduation by Zenith University College, was for December 2017 graduands.
Mr. Stephen Takyi-Asiedu, the Rector of Zenith University College, in his report said the College was proud to acknowledge its successful partnership with the University of Cape Coast.
He said under the agreement; Zenith had since 2009 been offering a four-year, a two-year top-up and a three-year Bachelor of Business Administration programmes in addition to a two-year Master of Business Administration programme in affiliation with the University of Cape Coast.
Mr. Takyi-Asiedu said the National Accreditation Board, had approved for them to start the local Bachelor of Law (LLB) programme.
The Rector explained that the local law programme would run alongside the University of London Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Diploma in Law programmes.
He said to ensure high-quality output, Zenith University College was focused on the continuous improvement of all aspects of its operations: from the retooling of the technical and learning processes to the development of student services and the recruitment and training of the teaching and non-teaching staff.
He noted that the College was engaged in the continual review of its programmes to make them market-driven.
The Rector advised the graduands to use the values the university had inculcated in them for creative thinking, the willingness to work in a team environment and to accept challenges, the courage to act with ethical standards and a commitment to social responsibility as they advance in life.
“Be good ambassadors of Zenith University College wherever you find yourselves. We expect you to belong to the few people who make things happen in an organisation and not those who watch things happen or do not have an idea of what happens.”
Professor Joseph Ghartey Ampiah, the Vice Chancellor of UCC in a speech read on his behalf, announced that Zenith University College was on course to becoming an autonomous university.
He said the role of mentoring institutions such as the UCC was to nurture the partner college like Zenith University under it to share good practices with it so that it matures a fully grown independent university.
“Zenith University College is on course in meeting the requirements of its affiliation with UCC,” he stated.
“We are hopeful that if appropriate structures are put in place, sooner than later, Zenith will be on its own and manage its own affairs,” he added.
Prof Jophus Anamuah-Mensah, the Chairman of the Zenith University College Council, said the institutional affiliation arrangement between the College and UCC had been mutually rewarding.
