Ho — The Volta Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Makafui Woanya, has donated a brand new Mazda BT50 pickup to the Ho Central Constituency office of the party as part of preparations towards the 2020 general election.
The cost of the vehicle was not disclosed. Present was the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, John Nelson Akorli.
Mr Woanya presented the keys to the Ho Central Constituency chairman, Richard Kwadekpo at a ceremony in Ho.
He said the pickup was his contribution towards the party's preparedness in the 2020 elections and urged NPP functionaries in the constituency to enter every conceivable part of the constituency and spread the good news of the party to the electorate and make them apostles of democracy, rule of law and development.
"Do not only tell them what we plan to do for the nation but also tell them what we have already done including the various social interventions undertaken by the government in the past two years are readily evident on the ground to testify to the party's commitment, dedication and determination to development in unity, in freedom and rule of law.
"Victory for NPP in 2020 is a foregone conclusion, I entreat members of our party to always demonstrate love and respect towards the electorate for them to have faith in the party and the government and I pledge to provide motorcycles and a second pickup vehicle to the constituency office to further support the 2020 campaign and victory," Mr Woanya assured.
For his part, Mr Kwadekpo expressed gratitude to the NPP regional chairman for the gesture and said it had boosted the constituency office's campaign plans and gave the assurance that the vehicle would be maintained and kept in good shape all the time, to facilitate a smooth but vigorous campaign to ensure another victory in 2020 elections.
