The Ghana Youth Ministry (GYM), a Christian youth group is set for its much talked-about health walk christened 'Praise Walk 2019'.
Slated for May 25, the health walk would see patrons walk through the principal streets of Ayi-Mensah in Accra to Aburi in the Eastern Region amid singing of gospel praise songs.
The annual walk by the GYM aims to maximise the impact of participants to secure their future through health walks, blended with some form of entertainment and building a formidable advantage of networks with peers and other organisations.
This year marks the third edition of 'Praise Walk' with a theme, 'Colour Rave' with Papa to mark the 50th birthday of their proud patron, Nana Kyei-Amponsah Amponsah, a Pastor and Entrepreneur of Harvest Christian Academy and Church, Ghana.
The 14km walk gears at bringing together everyone in the capital with a string conviction of arousing the duty of consistent exercise for their well-being.
Director of the GYM, Mr Daniel Nana Appiah Kwame, in an interview with Times Weekend said "the event was put together to ensure every single Ghanaian youth enjoys the freedom of friendships and the beauty of health through consistent walk and praise".
"I believe we can only develop this nation when we as a people especially the youth come together in uniformity to ensure we have a clearer conscience of where we need to take Ghana too", he said.
The Ghana Youth Ministry is a nondenominational youth wing established to help the youth become managers of their own responsibilities through the belief in self, in Christ, in the dignity of humanity and service as well as the ability to raise generational builders to secure the future.
