Days after news broke that he was in close talks to join Morocco’s FAR Rabat, fit-again Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah has resurfaced at Norwegian side Sogndal chasing a deal.
The stout centre-back has been without a club since leaving Red Bull Salzburg feeder side FC Liefering where he had a short loan spell after recovering from a long injury layoff.
Vorsah has subjected himself to a trial program at Sogndal with the hope of impressing manager Eric Bakke for a permanent deal.
According to the Sogndal coach, the club has no doubts about the qualities of the 41-times capped Ghana international but are closely observing his fitness due to his injury history.
“Yes, we must see Vorsah a little more closely. As it looks now, he will help us in a long way if he gets a contract.
“Nonetheless, we must be assured that the injury problem he has had the last few years is history”, says Bakke, pointing out that the team knows Vorsah’s injury history well.
“It is something we are aware of… And so far, what we have seen is good,” he added.
Isaac Vorsah, 28, has previously featured for Hoffeinham in the German Bundesliga.
Sogndal have two Ghanaians – Mahatma Otoo and Gilbert Koomson on their books but the former is widely tipped for an exit.
