Government has announced 12 different road projects to be constructed under the flagship the 10 billion dollars “Big Push” initiative.
Announcing the major infrastructure drive that will open up job opportunities in the country and drive development, Roads and Highways Minister, Governs Kwame Agbodza says the much talked about deplorable Sunyani-Techiman Bole Bamboi Hamile stretch of the N12 will see immediate construction under the agenda.

“Myself and the engineers prior to the visit here did some studies and it’s quite clear that the third quarter proposal to start work all the way to Hamile, we can sail through this.
“Because of the nature of the road and the things that happen on the road in terms of armed robbery, they have all diverted, you can imagine what that means to the people who live in this area so it is quite a situation that we need to deal with urgently.
“So we are still on schedule to see this project started as we said in the third quarter of this year all the way to Hamile,” the Minister noted.

“At the moment the first phase is in 12 different projects, Ho and Aflao…It is not about this. Like is said, this is the Western corridor, the Eastern corridor is part of it, the Dambai bridge,” he stated.
He said the President is committed to completing the projects by end of his tenure.
“I can guarantee you that President Mahama is going to deliver this by the end of his term.”
