A strange scene unfolded at Parliament on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, as a young man was arrested for vandalizing multiple vehicles.
The incident, more bizarre than malicious, left onlookers and authorities puzzled.
The man, dressed in white, reportedly targeted around seven parked vehicles, smashing windscreens and windows.
Eyewitnesses described a distressing scene, noting the suspect appeared to be in a state of mental distress.

When the police officers intervened and apprehended him, he was heard repeatedly shouting, “Daddy don’t kill them. Daddy don’t destroy my people,” while looking upwards. Another report quoted him saying, “Father have mercy on them. Daddy, they don’t know what they are doing… It is for your own good.”

The unusual nature of the incident has sparked widespread speculation and concern.
But security personnel at Parliament acted swiftly to detain the suspect and prevent further damage. He was subsequently handed over to the Ghana Police Service for further investigation.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement, leaving many questions unanswered.
