Ghanaian gospel musician, Joyce Blessing has revealed that she’s currently working on a “powerful gospel song” with rapper D-Black and Highlife singer, Kwabena Kwabena.
She disclosed this in an interview on The Afternoon Show on TV3, Thursday, September 19. The ‘Victory’ crooner noted that she sees nothing wrong collaborating with non-gospel musicians as their talents also emanates from God.
Joyce Blessing explained that she does not mind the backlash that may probably arise from featuring secular musicians.
“My victory song was written by Kuami Eugene, he directed the video and did everything. I only promoted it. So there’s nothing wrong collaborating with them. The talent they have is also from God so we cannot sit here and close our eyes and say King Paluta is not from God because he is not singing gospel,” she remarked.
She continued: “All of them, God gave them the gift they have so I don’t see anything wrong if you are a gospel artiste and want to collaborate with secular musicians because I have one coming up with D-Black and Kwabena Kwabena, it’s oncoming.”
Joyce Blessing further recalled that although her fans criticised her years ago for a song she featured Joel Ackah, a non-gospel singer, they later fell in love with the song.
Meanwhile, Joyce has dropped her latest single ‘Overdo’ available on all streaming platforms.
