Former Spain midfielder Thiago Alcantara is set to embark on a new chapter in his football career as he joins Hansi Flick’s coaching staff at Barcelona in the coming weeks.
The 33-year-old recently retired from playing after concluding his contract with Liverpool this summer.

Born in Italy to former Brazil international Mazinho, Thiago’s football journey took him from Brazil to Spain, where he joined Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy in 2005.
Under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola, he made his first-team debut in 2009 and quickly earned praise as a future star, often likened to club legend Andres Iniesta.
