Global speaker, consultant, and Ceo of Allure Africa Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo says she was one of the worst public speakers at the age of 18.
The prolific speaker made the shocking revelation during an interview with Miriam, host of Unedited on 3FM(92.7) on the second episode aired which aired on April 12th, 2023, themed “Surviving the loss of a loved one and bouncing back”.
She shared the embarrassing moment of stage fright, she said “|stood on stage and I peed”.
Adding after that incident she decided to take a personal development class and has since mounted both local and international stages and made life-changing impact on her audiences.
She said very personal experiences with dealing with grief after she lost three people she described as her pillars in life, her grandmother, her husband and her mother respectively.
Recounting her memories with her Grandmother, she revealed how helpful the grandmother’s training had been to her and even agreed that selling at the age of 12 with her grandmother has influenced what she does now and believes that is her “qualification by experience” from her.
Subsequently, one of her pillars of life passed on at the moment she had to deliver a speech in Switzerland and she mentioned how traumatizing that was.
She revealed how she had to listen to someone’s problem for three hours on phone for coaching on the same day her husband passed away.
Other than the demise of these three people she describes as her pillars of life, she disclosed how the collapse of her business (Allure) had extremely negative effects on her and also the seven continuous miscarriages she faced before having her daughter.
She urged listeners to always keep hope alive and to never give up: “I had the option not to choose life in all these tribulations but the key thing is about the choice I made” and she believes that choice has contributed to who she is now.
