Coach Otto Addo named his 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup today, Monday, November 14, 2022. But some missing players from the official line-up have led to discontentment among Ghanaians, including reggae dancehall musician Stonebwoy.
In a tweet, the ‘Therapy’ hitmaker queried where some players known for their unmatchable skills have been exempted from the players set to defend Ghana in Qatar.
Tagging the trending hashtag, #PayToPlay, Stonebwoy tweeted, “There are players who are supposed to be in the squad who are not here because of #PayToPlay. @ghanafaofficial, why?”

Mubarak Wakaso, Jojo Wollacott, and Richard Ofori, although part of the preliminary squad, have been omitted from the final Black Stars list for Qatar 2022.
