Louis Vincent Mbullu talked about the hustle of making it to the top ans the dynamics of the Tanzania music space. He calls the process a preparation marathon and believes it matured to claim his rightful place in Tanzanian music space and on the continent.
“My journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve been doing this for thirteen years. And it (breakthrough) just happened last year with Hennesey and other songs. But I think all these twelve years were a preparation period. I was about making my music before I met my team.”
Expanding on what Afrobongo represents, LOUI said the powerful combination of these two cultural sounds with RnB and Pop undertones.
“Music is paving a very big way. All over Africa, it’s all about Afrobeat. In Tanzania, we have this thing called Bongo Flavour. In Africa, we have Afrobeat. So fusing Afrobeats and Bongo Flavour, I just came up with something called Afrobongo.”
