Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale has apologized to a road contractor and his workers who he Monday allegedly attacked at East Legon.
The artiste posted a video on his social media handles apologizing to the road contractor who he addressed as his father and an icon he had always wanted to meet in person.
The early hours saw circulated pictures of an official complaint the contractor, identified as Kennedy Acquah, had lodged at the East Legon Police station.
The contractor was reported to have been assaulted by thugs hired by the musician, an incident which went viral on social media.
The musician initially denied all assault allegations. He however took to social media in a swift turn to take responsibility and to apologize.
He advised bloggers to avoid circulating stories which purport that he paid the contractor GH?4 million to undertake some road construction.
