Ghanaians have taken the #FixTheCountry social media campaign a notch higher.
This time, they decided to call out duty bearer and demand that things be fixed.
The new twist which started in the early hours of Friday, May 7, has so far seen over 110 thousand tweets from citizens who lament of poor road networks, inadequate school infrastructure, unemployment, corruption, erratic power and water supply among others.
It came as a sequel to the main #FixTheCountry campaign. A street protest which was planned for May 9 has been prohibited by the High Court, but campaigners have been relentless with their online advocacy for a better Ghana.
The #NameAndShame hashtag saw some Members of Parliament (MPs), MMDCEs, the President and his vice and some ministers of state being fingered in what tweeps say needs to be fixed. Appalling images from abandoned projects from previous governments which have currently deserted took a larger part of the campaign.
The move has seen reactions and support from some key influencers like Manasseh Azure, Saddick Adams, Lydia Forson, Joey B, among others .
Will the new move cause a change?
