Ghana’s Women 4X100M relay team missed out on an automatic Olympic slot after finishing third in the ongoing World Relays in Poland.
Ghana clocked 44.85 seconds, behind the eventual first and second winners.
They were placed in lane three alongside other competitors including Brazil, Italy, Japan and Czech Republic.
Gemma Acheampong started the race for team Ghana as they were fighting for a place in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Latifa Ali who joined the team as a reserve replaced Flings Acheampong to start the race alongside Hor Halutie and Janet Amponsah.
Ghana finished fourth after the race but moved a step up following the disqualification of Brazil who finished first.
They can still qualify for Tokyo Olympics if their current time is ranked amongst the top two of the three third placed countries.
