Ghana’s team for the upcoming 2021 International Association of Athletics Federations World Relays have touched based in Poland ahead of the tournament.
The team, made up of 13 athletes and coaches arrived are currently in Selisia, Poland who are the host of the two-day event.
Starting on May 1, Ghana’s male team will compete in the Men’s relay before the women team take to the tracks on May 2 with both fighting for a slot at the upcoming Olympic games in Tokyo.
37 nations were due to take part in the competition before the renouncement of Canada, India, Jamaica, Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago. Other notable absences include Australia, China and the USA, who will be missing the event for the first time.
