Member of Parliament for the Yagaba/Kubori Constituency Mustapha Yussif is the Youth and Sports Minister Designate.
The 41-year-old comes in to replace Issac Asiamah, who was head of the Ministry in President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s first term.
Currently serving as the Executive Director of the National Service Scheme, Mustapha Yussif has served on various committees in Parliament, some of which include the Mines and Energy Committee, and the Standing Orders Committee Committee.
His appointment is subjected to Parliamentary approval which will be done in the coming weeks.
Mustapha Yussif will be expected to continue with the government’s aggressive infrastructure rollout in the sector and also help to sanitize an industry with teething challenges particularly in the area of talent development, fair wages, and structural policy implementations across key agencies.
