The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, is currently in meeting with the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) caucuses to firm up the work of the House.
NPP MPs earlier occupied the right-hand side of the Speaker as early as 4am to prevent the NDC side from taking that position.
The issue of which of the sides constitutes a Majority has been a raging controversy and it is expected that today’s 1st sitting of the house since its inauguration will bring finality to it.
Our parliamentary correspondent, Komla Klutse, however reported the house is yet to commence sitting as at 11:58am Friday.
