Ghana Football Association Technical Director Bernard Lippert has said Ghana’s U-17 team lacked real goal poachers following their early exit from the ongoing WAFU U-17 Cup of Nations.
Ghana suffered an early exit after failing to pick a single win in two games against Nigeria and Ivory Coast in the tournament being held in Togo.
Lippert who was in Togo for the tournament blamed the strikers saying the team lacked a real striker.
“We slept the first half hour, we couldn’t play our match because we left too many space in the Midfield and now we saw in the second match that we have a real problem to score goals, we do not have this kind of strikers who are real strikers,” he said.
The Black Starlets scored two goals in the tournament with one from the spot against Nigeria.
