Dec 7 Elections: NPP will win Shai-Osudoku for the first time – DCE
District Chief Executive for Shai-Osudoku Daniel Teye Akuffo is optimistic the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will for the first time win that seat.
Mr. Teye Akuffo explained his confidence is anchored on unfolding events in the area where a chunk number of known National Democratic Congress (NDC) members have crossed carpet and openly declared their support for the ruling party.
The Shai-Osudoku Constituency is known to be a political waterloo to the NPP in the Greater Accra Region.
The NDC has won the seat for six consecutive times.
Mr. Teye Akuffo is, however, confident the narrative would change this year.
Speaking on Onua TV‘s morning show ‘Maakye’, the DCE revealed that “the NPP is poised to snatch the seat because of the current government’s numerous developments in area, especially with respect to agriculture”.
“My constituents are basically farmers who are into vegetables, the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) is a hallmark advancement for my people.”
He maintained that “with the flagship social interventions as Free SHS, PFJ and revamp of the NHIA; the massive endorsement by known NDC followers in my area is an icing on the cake.”
The DCE further appealed to constituents in Shai-Osudoku to massively vote NPP’s Parliamentary Candidate, Benjamin Nargeh, and President Nana Akufo-Addo to ensure massive improvement in their lives.
