Ghana’s Covid-19 active cases reduce despite daily infections
Ghana’s Covid-19 active cases have seen a steady reduction despite daily recording of infections in the past week.
The latest update from the Disease Surveillance Department of the Ghana Health Service puts the current number of active cases at 775 from 832 as at Wednesday, November 25.
This comes after 41 new cases were recorded with 98 recoveries-cum-discharges within the same period.
The total cumulative cases, according to the Service, stand at 51,225 with the deaths staying at 323 for over a week now.
The total cumulative recoveries-cum-discharges are 50,127.
Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western, Eastern and Central regions, in that order, are the Top 5 regions with the virus.
Greater Accra Region currently has 68 percent of the active cases, having recorded 27,753 cases since the disease’s outbreak on Thursday, March 12.
Four regions – Oti, Upper East, Upper West and Savannah – have no active cases currently.
