Kotoko jet off to Mauritania without Brazilian wonderkid
Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have departed the country en route to Mauritania for the first leg of Caf Champions League preliminary round against FC Nouadhibou on Sunday.
The Kumasi-based side travelled without captain Felix Annan, who picked a knee injury last Sunday during their Ghana Premier League match against Berekum Chelsea.
Defender Habib Mohammed is also suspended for the match, as a result did not make the trip on Wednesday morning.
Augustine Okrah and Mudasiru Salifu will all also be out of the first leg encounter.
Newly signed Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama dos Santos and Naby Keita didn’t make the squad.
Asante Kotoko are expected to pick up all three points away from home to ease the pressure on them in the return fixture.
