CAF chief tests positive for coronavirus
President of the Confederation of Africa Football (Caf) Ahmad Ahmad has tested positive for coronavirus, 3news.com can confirm.
The Malagasy tested positive after returning to Cairo on Wednesday, October 28 from the CAF Confederation Cup final on Sunday.
He had presented mild flu symptoms and submitted to Covid-19 protocols.
Tests ran came out positive, reports said.
“The President immediately self-isolates for at least the next 14 days at his hotel,” a press release from the Communications Director on Friday said.
All those who came into contact with the FIFA Vice President over the last seven days have been informed and requested to take necessary measures.
This comes barely three days after FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, also tested positive for the virus.
Mr Ahmad is said to be under investigations for breaching various codes of conduct.
